As part of the Irish Government’s plan to maximise the use of public transport, C I É and its companies have been involved in a major investment programme funded from the National Development Plan as well as EU co-funding.

This is leading to a renaissance of our railways, including the new state-of-the-art Enterprise rail service between Dublin and Belfast. We have built new stations at Heuston and Connolly in Dublin and are now rolling out these major improvements throughout the country. Our bus services are also undergoing steady modernisation.

The Dublin Bus fleet has been totally modernised and Bus Eireann’s national fleet has also been completely renewed.

C I É is committed to attracting more customers to using public transport. To achieve this objective, we must continue - and accelerate - our investment programmes to further improve the quality of our products and services in response to what you, the customer, demand.
